Two days later, on Monday, February 9, I will fly to Stockholm, Sweden.
My plane will leave at 10 p.m.
Do you know that the time in Sweden is 9 hours later than it is here? My plane will get to Stockholm at 5 p.m. Stockholm time on Tuesday, February 10. It will also be Tuesday, February 10 in California, but it will be 8 a.m. in California.
The sun rises later and sets earlier in Sweden in the winter than it does in California. When I get to Stockholm, the sun will rise at about 8 a.m.and set at about 4 p.m. There will be even less daylight at Abisco National Park where I will see the Northern Lights. The sun will rise at about 8:59 a.m. and set at around 2:41 p.m. there. That is because Abisco National Park is further north and above the Arctic Circle.
